Lucius Lomax, RN, is a master's candidate in the University of Texas School of Information, a nursing informatics master's student in the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing, and a longterm journalist. He has worked at a half-dozen hospitals across the United States and as a volunteer in hospitals in Bolivia and in Colombia. He is a former staffer for newspapers in Houston, Atlanta and Austin, and also a former writer at Texas Monthly and the Texas Observer. He has a way with words and increasingly with data. His passions are health equity and social justice.
